Michael found CrossFit in 2010 and though limited to a corporate wellness gym, began to play around with this ‘new’ programming and movements that were both exciting and effective for his endurance training. Michael joined a local gym in 2011, received his Level 1 in 2012 and did his graduate internship at CrossFit Rampage, where he learned to consistently hone his craft, improve his own mechanics, and effectively lead CrossFit classes.
Michael earned his CrossFit Level 2 in 2016 (and renewed it in 2021), has been coaching at CrossFit Nolensville since 2019, and has been an instrumental piece of furthering CrossFit Nolensville’s goal of changing lives.
Possessing a dual passion for both corporate wellness and human performance, Michael incorporates a little bit of both into his career as he also works as a Health Engagement Consultant, helping employers to develop and implement wellness initiatives to help them create a culture of wellness.
Michael is also a Captain in the US Army Reserves, has a wife and 3 energetic children, and enjoys spending his spare time engaging in sports, coaching his children in sports, reading about all things health, and being involved with his church.
